ABOUT CHRIS

World Number 1 & Paralympic Champion Judoka Chris was born in Hull, where he was a keen sportsman and rugby player until the age of 17, when his eyesight began to deteriorate.

Despite working as a mechanic, it was at the age of 19 that Chris was diagnosed with the degenerative eye condition Ocular Albinism, which degenerated further leaving him unable to continue in his line of work or with his sporting endeavours.
